My goal is to provide my customers with the best and freshest shrimp on the market! I go out very early in the morning and work until around 1:00. Then I come back to the dock and bag up my catch for distribution to my customers. Now I use a small day boat for my shrimping operation, so I only go out when the weather permits. I’ve found that what works out the most efficient is to email or text my customers on the mornings that I am out shrimping and at that point they can order the freshest shrimp found anywhere if they like. Most people don’t realize that almost all the so-called fresh shrimp found in the seafood markets and grocery stores are thawed out from frozen shrimp that have been dowsed with chemicals to make them appear fresh. I never use chemicals or thaw out my shrimp and sell as fresh (every seafood distributor I know of participates in this practice). Check out the photo gallery!!!
